NGC 4068 is a spiral galaxy located approximately 10.1 million light-years from Earth in the constellation Gemini. Its coordinates in the sky are right ascension 311.868° and declination 56.948°, and it is catalogued in the New General Catalogue (NGC).

The light reaching Earth from NGC 4068 today left the galaxy roughly 10.1 million years ago. What you see in telescope imagery is a snapshot of the galaxy as it appeared before most of Earth’s mammalian history.
